Wight Eagles Academy was set up to expand our club and also offer a way into youth girls football, to not only play for a team and be part of the club, but to also have the pathway to progress up the youth ladder and into adult football. The academy is lead by our head of youth development Dan Verstraeten alongside first team manager Steve Spriggs. Unlike other clubs or setups, here at Wight Eagles FC we train and educate the players both on and off the field in the game of football. We train our youth sections in a style and philosophy that mimics our senior set up, all the while encouraging enjoyment, freedom and togetherness. All our coaches are FA licenced, FA qualified, CRB checked and are committed to delivering the best sessions in girls youth football. Training is currently held at Queensgate Astro in East Cowes on Friday afternoons, 5pm-6pm and will increase in time and days when we move to the grass in the summer. We have training groups and teams from 6 to 16 year olds. All abilities are welcome and supported by all our coaches. Please get in touch with Dan or the club if your daughter wishes to join up with the academy or any further details you need.
